*Cough Cough*

Wow, it's quiet and dusty around here. I didn't realize how long it's been since I updated until today. I guess I should pay more attention. Or not. Whatever.

First things first:

Yes. I'm pregnant. I'm 17 weeks along as of yesterday.

MM and I found out back in March. We decided to play a joke on everyone for April Fools and announce it..then refuse to talk about it. We had bets going on how many people would decide it was a joke and how many would believe it. I said those who know me well would know it was real because I don't celebrate AFD. I haven't since the day Little Man was born. His birthday isn't a joke to me. But I was wrong. Tons of people who know me well thought it was a joke. MM and I laughed at them (you?).

My due date is November 27th. Because I am like the most awesome and best planner in the world. Obviously. I mean, who doesn't want a Thanksgiving baby? The good news is this means I don't have to host the holidays this year. Oh, except MM says we can still do Christmas. I'll have plenty of time to recover by then, he says. Because I'm going to be all about having 30 people at my house for a huge meal 4 weeks after I give birth, yo.

I made MM wait a few months before we told anyone. I wanted to see the doctor first and make sure everything was going to be ok. He wasn't very happy with me about it, but he agreed. We did our first round of testing for genetic disorders and everything came back negative. We're well within normal range so far. I've had my second round of testing (the blood work) and I'm waiting for the results to come in. The specialist we saw last time is conducting the tests and he said he can see no reason for concern. This is, as I'm sure you can imagine, a huge relief to us.

I am super sick again. I'm nauseous pretty much 24/7. I'm not throwing up as much the last week or so, though. I still feel really sick, but I'm not physically getting sick, so good stuff. Certain foods trigger a bad reaction, as do overpowering smells. I'm going to hope this is a sign of things to come and my illness will be gone soon. Cross your fingers for me please.

Aside from baby stuff, things are going well. TG and LM are both doing great. LM was grounded the last 3 months of school because of missing homework assignments and poor grades, but he still managed to make Honor Roll (how does that happen??). He's enjoying being ungrounded for the summer. So am I. TG ended the school year with a 4.0gpa! Yes, a 4.0. This from the kid who used to hide her homework in the bushes and under the couch! It's amazing, I know.

She's playing tennis next year (in High School OMFG) and practice has already started. Practice runs from 8am-10am Mon-Fri for now, and starting next week when it gets hotter 6am-8am. What happened to sleeping in on summer break? I need a nap just thinking about it.

Otherwise life is pretty much the same. I do have some fun baby related stories to share. I'll work on those for later.
