If Only....

The baby has really started moving around. Before the last week or so I could feel her moving but she couldn't be felt from the outside. Recently she's been kicking like crazy and if you catch it just right you can feel her. MM keeps missing it. She stops moving every time he puts his hand on my stomach.

Part of the problem is that MM is impatient. He sets his hand on my stomach and if he doesn't feel something right then he gives up, disappointed. As I get farther along he'll get to feel her all the time. Waiting isn't his best quality, however. He wants to feel it now

The other night we were in the living room and she started kicking really hard. I moved over to MM and put his and on my stomach. Nothing. He took his hand away and she kicked. He put it back and...nothing. Poor MM. He started to get all pouty. "She never moves for me!" He tried again. Nothing. He gave up. I moved to sit down across the room and I hear MM say:

"I wish she was in my tummy."

Awww.

So do I, MM. So do I.

Adorable. :)

I started being able to feel my little guy from the outside just before 21 weeks. David felt him once or twice, but usually he'd just put his hand there for a second or two and lose interest when nothing happened right away. I had to convince him that he'd feel something if he'd keep it there longer. Since the baby likes to move around when I get into bed, now it's our nightly routine to lie there for a few minutes and feel him before we go to sleep. It's nice. :)

MM did feel something the other day, but he said he thought it was just gas. Dumbass. lol

Awww - what a sweet thing to say - although he just doesn't have a clue what it's like. lol

I would just sit by my hubby while he was watching tv and leave his hand there - eventually they moved and kicked.

Men can be such little boys sometimes. :)

Hubby thought it was cool when I got to the point where you could see my stomach move. LOL

Carrying her in his tummy? From his lips to God's ears, eh? I MADE my hubby keep his hand in place so that he could feel the kicking and moving. At night I would prop my growing tummy on his low back--THEN he felt the kicking and couldn't understand why it was worse at night. I told him he would be kicking if he had to go to sleep on gravel--my opinion on what my spine must have felt like to the baby.
